Start with the fit

Why compare these two?

Both chairs use mesh across the seat and back. Their fit and adjustment details are different, so the right comparison is not simply “which one has more features?” Check the seat-height range against your desk, the suggested user-height range against your proportions, and the space you have around and behind the chair.

Fold-flat storage

Smile Pro review

Smile Pro is the foldable option in this comparison. Its published specifications include:

  • Suggested user height: 150–190 cm
  • Seat height: 50–60 cm
  • Rated load capacity: 135 kg
  • Mesh seat cushion and mesh backrest
  • 3D headrest and larger contoured flip-up armrests
  • Four-level lumbar support
  • Backrest tilt: 90°–136°
  • Adjustable footrest and a 90° foldable backrest
  • 10-year warranty, subject to Shappa’s terms

Measure the route to storage and the available opening before deciding; the 90° foldable backrest is the main storage difference in this comparison.

All-mesh seat and back

Spencer Air review

Spencer Air is the all-mesh model. Its product page describes a mesh seat and back with adjustable lumbar support integrated into the backrest. The published specifications include:

  • Suggested user height: 150–200 cm
  • Upgraded Class 4 gas lift: seat height up to 60 cm from the floor; the current comparison does not give a lower limit
  • Rated load capacity: 150 kg
  • Breathable mesh seat and all-mesh backrest, including the lumbar area
  • 3D headrest: height, depth and angle adjustment
  • Full-function armrests: 270° rotation and smooth 360° swivel
  • Integrated adjustable mesh lumbar support; adjustment levels are not specified
  • Backrest adjustment: 90°–140° with tilt lock
  • Retractable footrest
  • 10-year warranty, subject to Shappa’s terms

The published user-height range and rated load are higher than Smile Pro’s. That does not replace checking the actual seat height, seat depth, desk height and foot support for your body.
