At Shappa, we stand behind the quality and durability of our products. However, we understand that sometimes things don't go as planned. Our Returns & Refunds Policy is designed with your convenience in mind, offering a smooth process should you need to return your product. For detailed information, please see our full Return Policy.
1. Contact us
To request a return authorisation, you can contact us in three ways:
We will provide return instructions and the return address. Returns sent without prior authorisation may not be accepted.
Please disassemble the product and repackage all components in the original box with the original packaging materials.
We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service. Shappa is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
3. Receive a refund
Inspection & Refund Processing:
All returned items are subject to inspection upon receipt. Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days after inspection.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. If returned items show signs of use, damage, or missing packaging not caused by transit, a reasonable reduction in refund amount may apply, in accordance with ACL guidelines.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Where can I find the full return conditions?
This page provides a simple overview of Shappa returns and refunds.
For full eligibility requirements, exclusions, freight conditions and Australian Consumer Law information, please see our Return Policy.
Can I actually use my chair during the 30-Day Chair Comfort Trial?
Yes.
You may assemble your Shappa chair, adjust its ergonomic features and reasonably use it indoors for up to 30 days from the date of delivery.
The purpose of the Comfort Trial is to give you enough time to decide whether the chair feels right for your body, sitting habits and workspace.
Normal assembly and reasonable trial use will not, by themselves, make the chair ineligible for return.
What if the chair does not feel right for me?
You can request either an exchange or a return during the 30-Day Chair Comfort Trial.
If another Shappa chair may suit you better, your first eligible Comfort Exchange includes standard return freight within eligible Australian service areas.
If you prefer a refund instead, Shappa can help arrange the return courier.
Is chair return shipping free?
Your first eligible Comfort Exchange includes standard return freight within eligible Australian service areas.
If you choose a refund instead of an exchange, a $69 return shipping contribution applies to eligible returns from standard metropolitan Australian delivery areas.
Additional freight charges may apply to regional, remote or difficult-to-service locations.
Is there a restocking fee for returned chairs?
No.
There is no restocking fee for an eligible chair returned in acceptable 30-Day Comfort Trial condition.
The chair should be returned clean, complete and without significant damage, stains, odours or excessive wear.
Do I need to keep the original chair packaging?
We strongly recommend it.
Please keep the original carton and protective packaging until your 30-Day Chair Comfort Trial has finished.
Original packaging is usually the safest way to return the chair and helps prevent damage during transport.
If you no longer have the packaging, contact us before arranging a return.
Can I return a standing desk or desk frame after assembling it?
For a standard change-of-mind return, standing desks and desk frames should generally remain unused and uninstalled.
You may open the packaging to inspect the product, but once it has been assembled or installed, screw marks, mounting marks or other signs of installation may affect its eligibility for a standard return.
If you have already assembled the product, please contact us and we will review your situation.
This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty.
What happens if my product arrives faulty or damaged?
Please contact Shappa as soon as possible.

Your bank or payment provider may require additional time before the funds appear in your account.
